Players must provide
their own tennis racquets.
YLT recommends Wilson tennis racquets for all ages and all level players .

Quick Start players ages 5-7 should purchase a 23" Wilson Jr Racquet. Green players ages 8-10 should purchase a 25' Wilson Jr Racquet. Players ages 11-14
should purchase an Adult light weight Wilson presturng Racquet with a small girp (4.0 - 4 1/8) Intermediate or Advanced players should purchase a performance Wilson Racquet (comes unstrung). Look at the K line of Wilson racquets!

You can become a Jr member of the
USTA when you register to play YLT. $18.00 includes a Junior
membership for 1 year, a subscription to the USTA newsletter, Tennis
magazine & Inside Tennis and discount tickets to local tennis events.
Players must be members of the USTA before they can compete in
sanctioned So Cal tournaments.
REFUND POLICY AND DEADLINE
-
If you wish to withdraw from the league & receive a refund, you must
withdraw in writing via mail, fax or email by Sept 28 , 2009.
There is a non-refundable $25.00 cancellation fee, in the event of a refund.
- NO refunds are issued for ANY reason after Sept 28 , 2009, once you have been registered.
- In the event that you register to play at a
full site and we are unable to place you at your 1st or 2nd choice, you
will automatically receive a full refund.

Refunds will be processed after the league
begins.

There are no refunds
for rain outs or natural disasters.
Up to 2 make ups are provided per season for
rain outs.

due to time changes. Times are subject to change.

Youth League Tennis
Levels are described below for your reference.
Only the Quick Start & Green level has an instructor on the court at all times.
Red, Yellow & Blue levels will enjoy one hour of drills
and one hour of organized, competitive match play
Players will be coached during match play on strategy, shot selection, court positioning and becoming more consistent.
YLT
Rules of Match Play have been created to take into account each players
ability and allow all kids to compete successfully!
We recommend that kids who enjoy and
learn well in a group setting play YLT.

Plays for 1.5 hours per week
with an Instructor.
This group enjoys
group drills and competitive games,
while teaching professional quality
basics and all skills needed to move
up to the red level. |

Players Ready to begin match play with drop hit
forehand serves.
This level plays doubles, and tag team
doubles form the baseline. |

Yellow-Intermediate Players
Allowed 3 serves per point. 3rd serve can be an under or overhead serve. Servers choice. This level plays doubles, 2 vs 1 and
singles. |

Blue- Novice & Satellite Tournament
Players
Novice and Satellite tournament players.
This level plays doubles, 2 vs 1 and singles by USTA rules. |

Green - QUICK START for Beginners Ages 5-7
Plays for 1.5 hours per week
with an Instructor on a mini court.
This group plays with larger balls which bounce lower and slower to allow young players to improve quicker through
group drills and competions while learning professional quality
basics and all skills needed to move
up to the Green level.
